Our sweet Heidi bug turned four years old.  It seems like yesterday she was born and here we are FOUR years later!  Connor is a teenager and started 8th grade this year….and Heidi is in Pre-K 4.  It’s true what they say, babies don’t keep.

Heidi’s favorite things at 4 years old:  Lion King, The Lion Guard, PJ Mask, stuffed animals, her “pilly” (Pillow), soft bows, trucks, swimming, turkey and cheese sandwiches, fruit, mermaids, and her friends and family.

Heidi you are a light in our lives and a joy we hoped and prayed for, but never imagined until you arrived.  You fill our hearts bursting with joy and curiosity every day.  You are always full of questions, and you know what you want.  I pray that God will bless you and your life in so many ways- my curly headed little angel!

Summer 2023

What a whirlwind already! It went by so fast and before you know it I’m sure Christmas will be here. We had an amazing time at Miramar Beach. Despite the rain and high tides, we made some wonderful memories.  It was the kids first time to the ocean (or to at least swim in it).  Connor enjoyed the waves with his cousin Jarrett.

At night we all went hunting for crabs, as well as enjoying some delicious food while visiting the area.  The boys all went on a deep sea fishing boat for a day and caught a bunch of red snapper, and Terence even caught a shark.

The little girls enjoyed digging through the sand and making sand castles the most.  I just love looking out over the ocean and thinking “Wow….God you are amazing to have created such a beautiful place!”

We had the best time and won’t forget it 🙂

Back to life, back to reality.

We had a lovely beach vacation at Miramar Beach, Florida a few weeks ago and I wanted to write some of our memories down.  We did lots of laying on the beach, eating, family time, and saw a few of the places I really wanted to see in Florida!  My favorite thing to do is travel, but sometimes my feet get so tired and it’s hard to keep up.  I’ve been using these supination insoles in my tennis shoes and they’ve helped a lot.  Terence is installing a home gym in the garage right now and we have a new weight bench and a lot of nice new weights.  This is going to be the year I can hopefully get back to my goal weight and NEXT time I hit up the beach maybe I can wear a bikini…ha ha….maybe???

Me with the kiddos on the beach.  It stormed about half the time we were there.  So we made the most out of the sunny days we had.  At night we had fun catching crabs too!  My swimsuit is from Summersalt and I highly recommend them.  I bought two suits from there and they were fabulous!

I bought this shirt to wear on vacation. I love the movie Legally Blonde, so when one of my favorite stores Pippi Post made this I had to get one.

We also celebrated a lot of birthdays in May, this was Terence’s birthday 🙂

This was taken on Mother’s Day 2023. So blessed with my beautiful babies.

The guys went on a fishing charter and caught a bunch of red snapper. Terence even caught a shark!!! They didn’t reel it in though, but he did get a pretty cool video of him catching it.

 

My sister and I went by a really fun coffee place and I had a yummy Irish cream cold brew.

Happy almost Friday everyone!  It’s been a busy few weeks and lot of things going on at work and with my photography business.  As well as things with the kiddos and…LIFE!!!  I love being able to write about my favorite things here on the blog and wanted to share a few new finds as of late.

These invisible socks called Flat Socks are amazing!  I’ve been wearing them for about 2 weeks now and I have to say they work really well.  I have a lot of shoes that I love to wear, but they look so much better without socks on.  Especially now that summer is right around the corner, I still want to wear certain shoes, but after a while they start to stink and get dirty.

You can choose from several different patterns and sizes of Flat Socks.  They work in any shoe that has a sole liner inside. Then you cut them to size using the template ont he back of the Flat Sock.

They are also super thin, so you won’t even know they are there! Flat Socks are basically invisible socks.

I put them in the shoes below.  These are my comfy running around shoes, but they were starting to get smelly after walking around in them with no socks.  Ever since I put my Flat Socks in I don’t have that problem anymore!  No more sweat OR sink!!!

The kiddos took their first plunge in the pool this summer and I always take a picture of their first “jump” every year!  Then it turned cold this week…so here we go again.  Texas has such bi-polar weather y’all!

Here is our Easter recap 2023.  We went to the 8 am service and had a great time reflecting on the day.  The kiddos enjoyed their Easter baskets and we had a relaxing afternoon.  We are all ready for warmer days so that we can get back into the pool.  Heidi had a cute Easter bonnet parade at school and it was precious!
